Graduation Update & Information

May 28, 2021

Dear Noble High School Students and Families,

We hope you are doing well in this final stretch of the 2020-2021 school year! Please review the following updates and reminders for seniors:

Graduation Ceremony

Due to the recent changes set forth by Governor Mills and the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) regarding the guidance for large gatherings, we are pleased to announce that we have updated our plan for graduation. These changes now allow us to host a fully traditional graduation ceremony! Please review the following updates:

  • Students will now receive the usual seven (7) graduation tickets!

    • Extra ticket requests may still be sent to Barbara.Murphy@msad60.org

    • As in previous years, to accommodate those without tickets, there will be a “no ticket” section (please bring your own chair for this section).

  • The arrangement of seating “pods” has been eliminated.

  • Masks will be optional but are recommended for those who are unvaccinated.

  • There will be no social distancing requirements.

Graduation Requirements

We recognize the tremendous obstacles that the COVID-19 pandemic has presented to this year’s senior class. Students in the Class of 2021 experiencing hardship, who are unable to meet Noble High School’s regular graduation requirements, will still be eligible to receive a diploma as long as they meet the "Current Maine Department of Education Minimum Graduation Requirements.”

Students will also receive their cumulative folders and yearbooks (if they had been paid in full). Students will remain within their own vehicles and drive through the stations for each item to be picked up/returned.

Students will also be required to return appropriate school materials:

  • Chromebook

If your student is unable to drop off/pick up items at this time, please feel free to reach out to make alternate arrangements.

Thank you for all you have done to support your student and Noble High School. We will be providing more detailed information related to graduation day in our upcoming correspondence next week.

Sincerely,
